Projects
Websites
The website samples here represent independent projects for non-profits and small businesses. On all, I was Project and Product Lead. On most, I was also Designer and Developer. For smaller, simpler sites, I can take the project from business analysis and planning through architecture, design, content development, site development, testing, and deployment. I can also maintain small sites that require occasional updating. For large, corporate sites, I can act as Information Architect, Project Manager, or Product Lead. I am committed to producing accessible sites that embody best practices for usability and maintainability, that meet marketing objectives, and that support improved business processes.

Led project to redesign website for non-profit whose mission is activating civic engagement, particularly for youth, by giving people the tools to produce their own mass media projects. Created site architecture, contributed to visual redesign, and did most development. As always, leading this kind of project for a non-profit is a challenge (mostly volunteers, little money) but one I enjoy. See a site map |

Led major redesign effort for mid-size religious congregation. Old site was executed in MS Front page as a static site. Several years of unplanned updating and reorganizing broke the site architecture and design (see screen capture of old home page). In addition to redesign, instituted a maintenance process.See image of old home page |

Created and maintain all aspects of this website for an Expressive Arts Therapist in western Massachusetts. My favorite part of this one is the banner composite image I created, which reflects this therapist's personality and style. |
| [P] Embedded website for web deployed software evaluation package
This small website was embedded in a web-deployed unassisted software evaluation package. I conceived the idea of embedding a mini-site in the package that would guide the prospective customer to resources and supporting information for the try-out on the larger IBM web site. This is an html design prototype with about 80% of the final content. |
